Camera Assembly
- Each Black Magic Camera requires the following attachments
- Canon/Sigma Lens
- 1x V-Mount Battery
- External Mounted Monitor Battery
- 1x Samsung HardDrive (color coded)
(Always charge an extra V Mount & External Monitor Battery per Camera)
Camera Set Up
- Canon: align RED dots + twist until click
- Sigma: align WHITE dots + twist until click
- Camera + Tripod Attachment
- Attach Tripod Base Plate below Rig
- Secure Camera from Rig Handle & slide the Camera with Base Plate to Tripod
- Tripod Positions
- Sigma Lens #3: Wide Shot behind Audience above their heads
- Canon Lens #1: Tripod Stage Right
Power Up Sequence
- Turn Black Magic Camera ON
- Turn the Mounted Monitor ON
- Select “Memory Card” on Black Magic Camera
- Ensure Hard Drive is properly connected
- Settings
- Focus Assist: subject has green eyes
- Manually Adjust Focus on Lens
- White Balance to the 4ft Lights
- Red 100 IRE, Purple 0 IRE
- Don’t Touch Shutter & FPS (keep Shutter: 180 & FPS: 24)
- Iris 2.0, ISO 250, WB 5,600k
- Close Shades to standardize lighting
- Record test subject
Lighting Set Up
- Put sandbag on the top leg
- Position the weight of the light directly over the top of this light
- Plug in power box to AC
- Twist to place power cable
- Secure on lighting fixture on top of stand
- Press down on lantern while looking inside the bulb to latch on and hold the spherical shape
- Put the lantern on before turning the light on
- Twist until you here a pop
- Adjust the height from the top knob first
- Plug in power & lighting fixture
- Gentle with cables
- Back light at 80%
- Left light at 60%
Power Down Sequence
- Stop Record
- Turn Off Camera & External Monitor
- Remove Hard Drive and start offloading
- Lens Cap
- Disconnect Lens
- Charge All Batteries
